🏛️ The Four Founding Brothers

The Okpameri people trace their heritage to four brothers who were part of Oranmiyan's entourage in the 13th century. These founders established communities that remain today:

⚡ Ekpesa

Meaning: "We forbid curses"

Founder of Ekpesa Kingdom, known for establishing peaceful traditions and agricultural practices. Descendants remain in the forest areas where they first settled.

🏔️ Onumu

Meaning: Settled in rocky surroundings

Established communities in rocky terrain, adapting to the challenging landscape while maintaining cultural traditions.

🗻 Somorika

Meaning: Mountain cave dwellers
